  • Articulate their “why” for both practicing and teaching yoga

  • Create a mission statement for their professional work

Getting Started (2 hours)

  • Develop perspective and flexibility in embarking on their yoga career (and what a yoga career can look like)
  • Identify possible streams of income 
  • Identify three potential venues for beginning to teach
  • Clarify common rates of pay for new and experienced yoga teachers
  • Describe channels for opportunity outside of public yoga classes
  • Describe next steps for continuing education and practice
  • Describe the behavior of a professional yogi
  • Describe your region’s requirements around professional organizations, liability insurance, etc.

Building Your Business (2 hours)

  • Identify five brand words for your business
  • Leverage your work on your missions statement to create a cogent brand vision
  • Define marketing
  • Identify your most viable marketing channels
  • Write your bio so that it relays your mission and your brand
  • Create your 10 year Vision
