What Your Students Will Learn

Through immersion in both ancient Taoist theory as well as modern anatomical applications, your trainees will gain the knowledge and skills required to facilitate a yin yoga class with confidence. This 50-hour program will give them a strong foundation in yin theory and practice as well as functional fascial anatomy, and includes detailed asana and teaching labs to help your students put your knowledge into practice.

Yin Learning Objectives

By the end of this 50-hour yin teacher training, your students will:

  • Sequence and teach a safe yin style yoga practice
  • Describe the fundamentals of Taoist theory and how it is incorporated into a yin style practice
  • Describe the history of yin yoga, including its founders and influencers
  • Describe the anatomical underpinnings of yin, including theories of human variation, meridian theory and the anatomy of fascia

On the business side, I spend a decade working for two large national yoga companies (Yoga Works and YYoga) and built a training department from the ground up as YYoga’s Director of Teachers’ College. In other words, I have a deep appreciation for the financial realities of your yoga business

I have written periodicals such as Yoga International and the Huffington Post, made guest appearances on CTV, Breakfast Television, and numerous podcasts, published five books, and presented at venues such as Wanderlust and the Omega Institute.
